Commissioned to photograph newly painted Jet2 and SunExpress aircraft, this project focused on showcasing the precision and artistry behind full aircraft livery work. Shot on location at a secure site in the Midlands, the purpose was to create striking aviation imagery for use in websites, promotional material, and company portfolios.
Aircraft shoots come with a unique set of challenges. With only a short window before each plane was scheduled to fly, timing was everything. Lighting a full airliner is no small feat — we used cherry pickers and boom lifts, coordinated via radio, to direct lighting across the fuselage while safely navigating extreme heights. Add in the logistics of airside security and the continuous movement of other aircraft and ground staff, and this becomes a fast-paced, reactive environment where precision and teamwork are essential.
The final visuals captured the scale, design, and craftsmanship involved — a perfect blend of technical skill and creative vision tailored for the aviation industry.
