Project: Architectural Photography & Video
Client: MDS Aero at Rolls-Royce

We had the opportunity to work with MDS Aero to capture a unique piece of engineering—Test Bed 80, their latest test facility built for Rolls-Royce. This project was all about creating high-impact architectural photography and video content that could be used across their promotional materials and corporate communications.
Shot on location at Rolls-Royce in Derby, the space came with its challenges, particularly around access and lighting. Rather than using flash, we opted for the Aputure Nova P300c RGBWW video light to handle the darker zones within the structure, giving us more control and a cinematic edge.
The aim was to tell the story of how the building functions in real-world use, but as with many high-security locations, things had to be adapted on the fly. Despite the limitations, we were able to deliver a strong set of stills and moving visuals that showcased the build in all its scale and detail.
